NH PTA Reporting from National Convention

Good Evening, Today was an historic day for NH PTA as Adam Bohorquez recieved his Outstanding award for Film Production for the 2010/2011 Reflections Program. National PTA news was also made when we as delegates elected Otha Thornton as President Elect our 2nd Male President. Furthermore, delegates voted to raise our National Dues .50 cent effect 6/11/11 what does this mean it means that National Dues are $2.25 per member plus our State Dues. Understand this it has been 10 years the last time National PTA raised dues, with this increase and our state dues it's still less than a meal at any fast food restaurant.

News from National Convention

Good Evening, It's been along day I just got back in my room, meetings started at 7:00am for State Presidents. Next for me was the opening ceremony for the Convention as all State Presidents were introduced by state. Judge Hackett was an amazing speaker, was one of the best I have seen as NH PTA State President at National Convention. Call in day was again a hit getting the attention of congress on the Hill. A lively debate over a dues increase is ongoing and has been tabled till tomorrow. Great dinner with NH PTA Insurance Carrier AIM, Adam and his Mom Sarah joined in the fun and had a great time. Adam is enjoying State pin trading close to getting all the states.
